CLEANROOM ROLL UP DOORS
Cleanroom doors by Giesse optimise the features of cleanrooms maintaining level of pressure within the room. The Auto-Pharma ® technology minimises the exposure of contaminating agents and particles which can be dangerous for some processes inside pharmaceutical, mechanical or electronic laboratories.
Cleanroom doors – application areas
The presence of a cleanroom is necessary during activities which require isolation from the external environment. The use of a roller shutter for cleanrooms serves as a barrier and isolates both the operational activity and processes which take place inside the cleanroom. This is due to its capabilities to pressurise and depressurise the room.
The Auto-Pharma® cleanroom is suitable for a variety of sectors, including:
Chemical industry – essential in this field to prevent external contamination;
Pharmaceutical industry – laboratories that research and develop drugs and antidotes should be isolated from pressure. They also require temperature control and need to be protected from any micro-organisms which could alter the test results.
Electronics industry – where the exposure of very sensitive electrical components to air particles should be controlled and eliminated
Cosmetics industry – similar to the chemical industry, chemical products and materials are used in cosmetic production, a process which should occur in a controlled environment.
Other industries that use production processes which require a space safe from contamination and unwanted pollutants.
Those working inside the cleanrooms, understand their function and that they must utilise a specific door which will maintain internal pressure.The internal pressure of cleanrooms should be consistent at all times to avoid any changes to the internal atmosphere.
Characteristics of doors used for sanitary environments
Cleanroom roll up doors for hospitals and medical facilities are specifically designed to safeguard environmental parameters, such as sterility and containment. Maintaining constant pressure is achieved through the use of airtight fabric which is present throughout the perimeter of the structure, by the stop start function and by the speed of the overall time of opening and closing the door.
The doors can also be used inside sanitary structures. For example, hospital doors with flexible PVC can resist different pressures and self-regulate to a defined level of pressure.
Cleanroom doors are also designed specifically to guarantee the most airtight environment, thereby avoiding germs or bacteria infiltrating the cleanroom; a situation which could cause serious and irreversible risks.
For this reason, the fabric in Auto Pharma ® is made from heavy duty polyester. This is produced with technical specifications which renders the fabric highly anti-flammable as well as being perfectly airtight. The smooth fabric is also easy to clean and does not require any particular routine maintenance work.
The structures of the doors are made with load-bearing internal rails. These contain electrical cables as well as a series of components, such as control buttons and LEDs, whilst also having a photoelectric cell barrier.
